National School Foundation Association offers a Certified Professional program. 

The NSFA Certified Professional program offers a broad-based knowledge in a variety of foundation management areas.  You'll learn how to recruit and train a supportive board of directors, gain insights into critical legal issues, develop an effective communications plan, improve fundraising effectiveness, and more.  As you develop the skills to improve your performance, you'll also gain credibility for your foundation by becoming a certified K-12 School Foundation professional.

Mission 

The mission of the NSFA Certified Professionals training program is to promote the organization, development, and success of K-12 education foundations and their partnering schools and school districts with instruction in the following key areas:

Courses

Introductory Course (6 credits):  $99 - $159
Designed as a broad survey course for anyone involved with a K-12 school foundation, this course provides the fundamental knowledge you need to run a successful foundation. Instructors utilize a 125 page training manual, specially developed and written to assist K-12 foundation personnel, foundation board members as well as school personnel (administrators and school board members) with the work of better understanding the following key areas of foundation management

                1. Leadership and board development

                2. Operations and legal

                3. Marketing and communication

                4. Fundraising and development

Advanced Courses (18 credits):  
These courses will offer knowledge in a wide range of required and optional topics such as planned giving, managing your board of directors, strategic planning, donor motivation, and more.  You will have the opportunity to earn these credits at three-hour training sessions (3 credits) or one-hour webinars (1 credit).

contact us if you are interested in sponsoring/hosting training in your school or foundation. Our profit sharing program is specially designed to help you train your board and staff at no charge and receive an income as a training host.
