Components of a Comprehensive Fundraising Campaign: Richard Potter & Norma Murphy of Hartsook Fundraising Counsel

Fundraising is most successful when it is well-planned and well-organized. The comprehensive fundraising program will include several components and allow the organization to invite a variety of constituencies to engage and invest in the mission. Participants in this 90-minute workshop will increase their understanding of capital campaigns, the annual fund, alumni fundraising, corporate and foundation relations, and strategies for developing a major donor program. Each participant will receive the fundraising book of her/his choice, either "Nobody Wants To Give Money Away" by Robert F. Hartsook, or "Performance-Driven Fundraising" by Matt Beem.

The Value of Alumni to Your Institution: Michelle Stotts, Iowa State Alumni Association

Michelle will discuss how alumni association staff identify and cultivate alumni as a part of building a successful alumni association.

Wealth Transfer Potential in Iowa: Sandy Burke, Senior Researcher, Community Vitality Center, Iowa State University

Sandy Burke and Mark Edelman track generational wealth transfer in Iowa, Sandy will share some of their results....come and learn about the potential we have for philanthropy in our state!
