Danielle Grant is the President and CEO of AchieveMpls. As the strategic non-profit partner of Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS), AchieveMpls provides personalized career and college planning resources, work readiness training, on-the-job experience, and mentors to help students become career and college ready for our global knowledge-based economy. As the local education fund, AchieveMpls helps raise millions of corporate and foundation dollars for MPS strategic priorities, including STEM and AVID programs, leadership development and much more.
Prior to joining AchieveMpls, Danielle held several positions with Minneapolis Public Schools, including Executive Director of Educational & Cultural Services and Indian Education where she was responsible for summer school and after school academics for K-8, multi-tiered systems of support, homeless and highly mobile programs, family resource centers, social emotional learning, reducing racial disparities in school discipline and American Indian education.
Danielle currently serves as the board chair of American Indian OIC and is a board member of the Minnesota Education Equity Partnership, the Minneapolis Regional Chamber of Commerce, and Friends of the Lock and Dam. She is a member of the Community Advisory Board to the Opportunity and Inclusive Growth Institute at the Minneapolis Federal Reserve Bank, Minnesota Women’s Economic Roundtable, and the National School Foundation Association Industry Leadership Council. Danielle holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Marquette University and a Master of Public Affairs degree from the University of Minnesota’s Hubert H. Humphrey School of Public Affairs. She attended the Young American Leadership Program at Harvard Business School in 2018.
