Heather and her husband have four daughters in the Skaneateles Central School District, Classes of ’20, ’22, ’24 and ’27. Heather’s leadership roles in the organizations that support the girls’ education have paralleled their development; from childcare cooperative to elementary PTC to middle school PTC to high school music and drama boosters. Heather took the lead on fundraising and chaired the committee that built a new playground for their intermediate school.
Heather served on the board of the Skaneateles Education Foundation as Chair of the Fundraising Committee for 3 years and was hired in 2015 as the foundation’s executive director. She joined the first cohort of students to complete the NSFA’s Education Foundation Leadership Certification course.
Outside of work, Heather and her family enjoy entertaining in their turn-of-the-century Mandana Barn. Renting the barn as a venue for weddings and fundraisers has become a family business that keeps them busy from May through October.
Heather is a connector, passionate about inspiring deeper learning experiences for students, enabling teachers to dream big, and providing the community with opportunities to give that will make a difference.
