Joshua Long is the Executive Director of the Hammond Education Foundation, an organization that advances educational excellence in Hammond, Indiana. He oversees and runs a number of programs aimed at early childhood education, STEAM initiatives, and college access.
He graduated from Purdue in 2012 with a B.S. in Economics from the Krannert School of Management with minors in Communication and International Business. After Purdue, Josh spent two years with Teach for America in Chicago as a Special Education Teacher, Case Manager, and Head Baseball Coach at a Gary Comer College Prep on the south side of Chicago.
Josh has earned his certificate in Fundraising Management from the Lilly School of Philanthropy at Indiana University. Additionally, he currently serves as a board member for Indiana Association of Public Education Foundations, Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Indiana, and First Tee of Northwest Indiana.
