Terry A. Boehm, was named President of Future Plans® USA in March 2017, and is the current Chairman of the National Schools Foundation Association.  Terry has prior leadership roles with three education foundations: Executive Director for the Polk Education Foundation (1987-89), President of the Hillsborough Education Foundation (1989-2001) and President of the Pinellas Education Foundation (2001-2017). 

In 2016, the Pinellas Education Foundation presented Future Plans at the White House, through the Reach Higher initiative. Future Plans, a social enterprise of the Foundation, is an online career assessment tool, which is currently marketed throughout the USA. The Caruthers Institute recognized the Pinellas Education Foundation as the nation’s top K-12 education foundation in its annual “Stepping Up” study.  The Pinellas Education Foundation has a Four Star Charity Navigator rating and in 2015, the Pinellas Education Foundation was designated as a site as a Ford NGL Innovation Center.

Terry founded and coordinated the Florida High School Academic Tournament and National Tournament of Academic Excellence at Disney World (1986-89).  He also served as coordinator, University of South Florida, Center for Economic Education and previously taught middle school in Polk County, Florida.

Boehm has been a guest on CSPAN’s Washington Journal to discuss the topic of advertising in K-12 schools.  He has conducted numerous workshops on the subject of  K-12 fundraising for education foundations.

Boehm is a board member of the National Schools Foundation Association and a past chair of the Consortium of Florida Education Foundations.  He has served on the Pinellas Economic Development Council Board, the Pinellas Job Corps Center Director’s Steering Committee, and the Clearwater Regional Chamber of Commerce Board.

Boehm graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point with a BS degree in 1975.  He received a Masters from the University of South Florida in 1980.

Terry is married to his wife Terry, and they reside in Palm Harbor, Florida. He is the father of three children who have gifted Terry and Terry with nine brilliant and extremely cute grandchildren.
