Hello, my name is Wayne Padover. I am a Professor of Educational Leadership at National University at the Costa Mesa and Torrey Pines Campuses. Previous to this role, I served as a School District Superintendent for approximately twenty years in urban, suburban and rural school districts in Northern California. My other positions included teaching from kindergarten through graduate school, including Special Education, as well as serving as Assistant Principal, Principal and Deputy Superintendent for Personnel as well as Curriculum and Instruction. I also serve on the Board of Directors of the National School Foundations Association and the California Consortium of Education Foundations. In addition, I am a Past-President of the California Association of Professors of Educational Administration and currently serve on that Board. Topics of my research agenda include: the initiation and development of local education foundations to benefit students, action research as it relates to organizational problem solving and leadership coaching.

Born and raised in New York City, I received my Bachelor's Degree at the State University of New York at Oneonta, with a major in Education, a Masters from the University of Michigan in Educational Psychology with a specialization in Urban Education, a Masters from San Jose State University in Educational Leadership and a Ph.D. from the University of Oregon in Educational Leadership.

My wife, Donna, and I have relocated to Southern California from the San Francisco Bay Area. We have two daughters, 36 and 29 years of age. I enjoy reading, golf, inline skating, body boarding, traveling and being a sports fan of baseball, football and basketball (i.e. Giants, 49'ers and Warriors, respectively). In addition to my educational degrees, I am also a graduate of Clown College. My Lead Instructor was a Master Clown from Ringling Brothers, Barnum & Bailey Circus. I have enjoyed performing in local parades, visiting hospitals and have been auctioned by my wife for charity events...often at bargain prices!!
